Charles Beale Receives Distinction Award 2010

Loyalist College announced its Alumni Awards at a gala dinner held last Saturday in the campus's Club 213 . Charles Beale of Napanee, a graduate of the Communication Arts Program in 1970, received the Alumini Distinction Award 2010 in recognition of success in his chosen field of journalism. Beale's passion for writing was evident during his time at Loyalist, as one of the first school newspaper editors. He went on to lead a successful career as a teacher in Lennox & Addington and Prince Edward Counties and the City of Ottawa. Beale has a B. A. from Queen's/Carleton Universities, a B. Ed. from the University of Ottawa and Specialists in both Visual Arts and Physical Education. He became a consultant and then administrator with the Ottawa Board of Education until his retirement.
